Lina's 1st week

Lina has had a busy first week! This is our first day that we have stayed home all by ourselves so I finally have a chance to get some pics up. I guess I'll start at the beginning...

Sunday:

Lina Ruth Spor (pronounce Lee-na) made her entrance Sunday at 7:01am.

I had been having contractions throughout the day on Saturday. I wasn't sure if they were really contractions, but around midnight they started to really hurt and come pretty regularly. So at 3am I called the hospital and they said to come in. We got to the hospital around 4. By the time I was all hooked up, the contractions were four minutes apart and I was 5cm dialated-once they saw that they started getting ready for the c-section. Everything went really well-Evan watched and didn't pass out:)

Lina loves to eat! The nurses were very impressed with how fast she guzzled those bottles-she is definately her mother's daughter:)

After the epidural wore off they gave my some pain killer through IV which made me kinda loopy. My face got even puffier and I would randomly start crying or fall asleep while talking. As you can see, I was not a pretty site.
But she was worth it all:)
Grandma and Lina

We had lots of visitors Sunday afternoon-Uncle Ryan, Aunt Jenna, Aunt Elise, Aunt Angie, Aunt Kristen, Uncle Derek, Cousin Mya and Grandma and Grandpa. We don't have the pics of them holding Lina because they were deleted:( Evan was trying to delete one pic and accidentally deleted all the pics we had taken that day! Mom wasn't sure if she should leave us alone after that happened, but she figured the Evan could run faster than I could so he should be safe:)Grandpa and Lina!

Grandpa worked very hard and was able to recover almost all of the deleted pics-Thank you Dad!! We hadn't slept since Friday night so we were ready for bed-we had little Lina sleep in the nursery so we could get a full night of sleep. It was a good first day:)

Monday:

Evan spent the night and then went to work
Mom, Jenna and Elise came in the morning to keep us company. The Dr. checked her and said she looks great! Of course she does:)

We had more visitors throughout the day...Angie and Kristen came at night-we played cards and took lots of pics:)

Tuesday:

This was the day she was scheduled to be born-I was very happy she came early:)

Kristen and Mya came to keep us company during the day. We had more visitors througout the day, topped off by another visit from Grandma and Grandpa! It was a good third day:)

Wednesday:

Evan worked until noon and then came to the hospital to take his girls home! We could've stayed one more night but I was ready to leave.

It was quite the hike to get to the car. It took us a bit to get there but we made it!

Evan had a soccer game so Grandma, Angie and cousin Raquel came over for a while. Raquel was very sweet with Lina-no pinching (athough it kind of looks like she's pinching mom's arm:)Angie and I took Lina to watch the 2nd game-she was very impressed with daddy, uncle Dylan and uncle Ryan's skills:) Lina got her first bath before bed...
It was a good first day home and fourth day being alive!

Thursday:

In the morning we took Lina to the Dr. to get weighed-she is already back up to her birth weight! (She was 7lb 4oz when we left the hospital) After the Drs. we did some shopping and then had lunch at Cousins-delicious!! Evan needed to finish up some things at work so he dropped us off at Grandma's

After everyone left, we were all pretty tired. It was a good 5th day:)

Friday:

Happy 4th of July!! Rachel came all the way from California to see Lina!:) Beth and Rachel came over in the morning for a while. In the afternoon we went over to mom and dad's for food!! We had lots of fun hanging out with the fam:)

Lina is tucked in the blanket with Grandma:) We went to the Germantown fireworks when it got dark-Lina slept right through them!
It was a good 6th day:)

Saturday:

Rachel came over and we hung out at home for a while. Angie and Andrew Weir stopped by for a visit too! After they left, we went to get my hair cut (to fix the butchered cut from last time!). We got some lunch afterwards and then went back home.

We went to Bayshore with Angie. Dylan, Raquel, Kristen, Derek and Mya at night.

Afterwards we went to Kristen and Derek's for a while


at the church shower, everyone wrote little notes on diapers-I thought this one from Elise was cute:)
It was a good 7th day:)

Sunday:
In the morning we went to church and then to mom and dad's for lunch. We stayed there almost the whole day just hanging out.

I can't believe she is a week old already!
Tonya and Nathan had been in MO for a missions trip and got back Sunday night. They left the morning she was born so that hadn't been able to see her-Lina was very excited to meet them:)

It was a busy but good week!!
