Fourth of July and random

The Fourth was HOTTT so we decided to skip the parade and went to a park in West Bend with some friends.  (The AC in our car died so it's a pretty windy drive:)
Belle and her good friend Lexi:)
There was a little man made lake that they loved playing in-a nice relief from the heat!
We went to my parent's house in the afternoon and hung out with the fam.  Lina got a Woody pez dispenser from Aunt Tonya and Uncle Dakota.  I think it took her maybe two minutes to down all the candy:)
Grandma gave her some kitchen utensils that she LOVES.  She really likes helping me in the kitchen and is very proud to have her own stuff:-)  She also like to eat her goldfish with the tongs.
She also got a tag reader pen and books that she likes to use during quiet time-Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
 They love their forts:)
 Just chillin'
One morning they got into the bandaids before I woke up and they each had at least 6 or 7.  I think the people at the park later that day thought I abuse my children!
Enjoying the splash pad at the park
This picture reminds me of those old time pictures where they all had really solemn faces
The other day at the zoo we learned all about chinchillas, Guinea pigs and some kind of lizard that I can't remember the name of:)  After the little spiel the kids got to pet them.

Grandma, Jenna and Elise came with and Grandma treated to a Carousel ride at the end!

Lina's 4th Birthday

Lina wanted a Toy Story cake and I had seen some really cute ideas on Pinterest but when it came time to make it I ran out of steam.  I had found a bunch of figurines at a rummage so I just frosted it and plopped those on and she loved it!  So easy to please:)
SO excited about the card from Great Grandma B:)
Opening her present from Auntie Rachel-so excited!!!
When I was about to take this picture she said, "mom, can you get my thousand dollars off the counter there?"  (Her 5 dollar bill:)  The Hello Kitty purse goes everywhere with Lina and she re-applies her chapstick about every other second:)  Injuries seem to have increased since her birthday-I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Hello Kitty band-aids!;-)
We met some friends at the park after breakfast-these two are just too cute!!
By the time we sang happy birthday there were quite a few finger marks:)
after everyone had a piece I look over and see Lina cleaning up the left overs...wonder who she learned that from:)
After the park some friends came over to swim-Belle and Lexi are just a few months apart, such sweet friends!
Birthday lunch at McDonalds
We hung out at Grandmas for the after noon-Aunt Lydia gave Lina some recipe cards and 'Annie' (Lina likes to write 'recipes' :)
My sweet 4 year old!
Birthday balloons from Daddy.  The day ended with more swimming with dad...Can't believe she's 4!
Evan was doing push up in the kitchen while feeding the girls (multi-tasking;) and when he looked up Belle was trying to copy him-look at those skinny legs!!

On Sunday we met Grandma and Grandpa Spor and BJ Kirsten Justice and Sura at a park to celebrate Lina's birthday.  Belle really enjoyed the watermelon:)

Lots of fun presents!
We got Lina a puzzle, nail polish (that Evan went and bought himself because he is the one that paints their nails and wanted some new colors-what a sweet dad:) and a Woody doll (that was the one thing I wanted to get her and I found one at a rummage just in time!)

I love hearing Lina play with Woody "oh, did you want to watch while I play this game partner?" She makes sure Woody is all strapped in before leaving:)
Ice cream with the Rittenhouse boys-I bribed Elijah with Ice cream to get him to dance with me at Jacob and Annie's wedding:)

Swimming with friends

Little sweeties!

Breakfast on the Farm!

This morning we went to the Ozaukee county breakfast on the farm in Belgium with Mom, Dad and Elise (Evan has drill this weekend) The weather was perfect!
This creepy clown made a red ball disappear...  (Belle was NOT a fan:)

turns out it was behind Lina's ear:-)
 sampling strawberry ice cream!
There were a lot of animals to pet-the girls loved it!  You can kind of see Lina holding a carton of chocolate milk-I think that was one of her favorite parts.  I don't think she had ever had it before...she had 3 while we were there and took one for the road:)

Lina loves Charlotte's Web and has been asking to go to a barn so she could hold a pig for a long time. (She also asked for a spring pig for her birthday so she could have it sleep in her room with her and feed it apples) She was SO excited to see these pigs.  She was pretty disappointed that she couldn't hold them or go in the pen with them but she was happy to pet them.
Belle kept saying, "come here Wilbur!"
A barrel train ride

There was a kid center with a lot of games and activities to do-all for free!

showing off their face paintings and tattoos (Lina got a cow on her cheek and a pig on her arm and Belle got a rainbow on her cheek and a cow on her arm:)
Such a fun morning!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!
The other night when I peaked in on the girls after they were asleep I saw Belle and Lina had been quite busy!  (Lina's books were much neater on her bed:)
Belle climbed up into my bed and said "MOM! MOM! You should come snuggle with me!!"
